Poll is not working properly. It comes up and allows you to vote more than once. I tested it and it does allow. The still employed in industry is 1 too high.

In the industry since late 1996. I was laid off last year and was looking for a job for awhile (5 months or so). I actually tried another field that I thought might be interesting, but came back to mortgages. I start a new job in May Laughing

I think you need one more category, those that were unemployed for more than 60 days in the last 18 mos thanks to the mortgage industry

I think that your question of being employed in the mortgage industry should be broken down more..Retail? Wholesale?....

Curious to know also how many made the switch...

I'm employed. Wholesale - operations. Not quite the position I had before, but feel blessed to have the opportunity. Making the most of every day, and helping brokers as best I can from where I sit. When you deal with PacMan - you will have a positive, productive experience!! Smile

I was out about 6 months, and it was a rocky ride. Not a lot of opportunities for operations staff out there. And being 4 years in Wholesale, never got a call back for a retail position. I figure they must have 32,675 resumes from retail people.

The ship is in the water - we are moving forward - and I've got a hold of my oar!
