Anyone heard of the excessive fines the State of Florida is handing out for being late in filing your Mortgage Call Report?----$3000----No leniency...Do not be late. They mean business...Does that seem excessive to anyone...???

Believe it. I got the $3000 fine. The state reduced it to $2750...I was about 30 days late. Missed the email from NMLS for the deficiency. Just forgot all about it. I had been late before but always completed them...They knocked off $250 and said I can pay of two months. They also told me I was about the 150th person that got the fine...Pretty crazy! I know I screwed up but seems a little excessive for an administrative error. When I was pleading my case the examiner told me it could be worse--we could take your license away...I said thank you very much...
