IRS 4506T for Income earned in US Virgion Islands?
PostPosted: Mon Jun 20, 2011 6:01 pm Reply with quoteBack to top

Anyone run accross this issue? The IRS is not the tax authority for the USVI. Lender wants a 4506T that shows the income earned while the borrower lived in the Virgin Islands. Does anyone know if the Virgin Island tax authority has something similar to a 4506T and how to get it?

The USVI taxes are filed on the standard IRS forms but are sent to a different place.

FHA purchase in CA.

You should use the normal 4506-T. It is good for the US VI's.
Directions are on page 2

That only works if you're a US citizen still filing with IRS.

I think the OP is saying the borrower was a Resident and filed with US VI. I don't think it can be pulled in that case.

There's only one way to know, try it.
