Can anyone give me any info about HomeFront Mortgage?? I got a little info from their web site, but I was wondering if anyone knows if they are legit or some kind of scam organization. Thanks
I have worked with them. I have met the owner. I have worked with their many branches in which the people seem to be happy with Homefront. They are legit based on everything I have seen. I have not experienced anything to make me think they are not legit. What concerns do you have?

Homefront is a licensed brokerage in California. You can research any licensed broker in California by going to the DRE webpage. Here's the Homefront record there:
I just received a purchase transaction from one of their branches today. They are still in business as far as I can tell.
You can look them up on the DRE website if you'd like.
You can also Google them to see if they have any lawsuits, etc.
I'm a nice guy (usually) but if someone from the Implode-O-Meter called me to ask if my company had imploded I would probably tell him to attempt "asexual reproduction" as well.

I am a real estate broker and a mortgage broker in Orange County. I was a member of Homefront mortgage for about three months, but cancelled my account with them due to it costing me more than I was making. During that time I processed a loan and an escrow through them. The people at Homefront were all very, very nice. Everything as far as Homefront with loans and escrow worked out very well. The ladies who helped me and my client through the loan and escrow process were very nice and helpful - of course there was (as there always is during real estate transactions) a misunderstanding and things were delayed a bit, but Homefront made good on everything. Overall I was very pleased with Homefront for the most part - I wish I had better responses to my email requests - many times had to pester folks through the phone due to lack of email response - but hey - if that's the biggest complaint - I've got nothing substantial to complain about. I did receive an email notification that they are closing up shop at the end of the year - apparently I'm not the only one having a hard time making a living doing real estate and mortgages. But - just for the record - Homefront is (until the end of the year) a legitimate company and I am glad I had an experience with them. Thats about all I know about it. I wish them well in the future. Good luck to you!! Hope this helps some.....
