The WARN stuff is settling, with a payout in December, maybe, if they are to be believed. Only in locations with 50 or more employees. The settlement for the WARN suit means more money for wage claims that were being held back from getting paid out. Now they just have to figure out that in order to pay us they need to order checks, because after 2 years somebody will have forgotten to get checks, and then they will sit on those for a "couple more weeks" while someone else remembers that stamps are needed to get the checks off of their desk and through the mail... And then someone else will remember that envelopes are needed because you can't just put a stamp on the check, and another "couple of weeks" will go by and then...

according to a friend of mine that contacted the liquidating trust last week, they're "still trying to track down a few of the tax IDs" - no update on when a payment might be made.

I did get a copy of the settlement papers for the WARN suit today in the mail. Anybody else get those yet?

AHH...the good ole WMD. Just for the records, in the interview with Sadam Hussein on 60 minutes, Obama's cousin (joking), Sadam admitted making up lies purposely about having WMD. He did this because he was scared sh$%less of IRAN. The interview that the Bush haters want to forget about. You can still archive it 60 Minutes.

I did get my settlement forms today as well. Maybe one step closer.....maybe. I am not holding my breath.

1 more thing: I was just following up from the inuendo made by Zekester. If you are going to throw someting out there, be prepared, it could be hit back at you. And it was just a simple post back to him, nothing elaborate.

wa wa wa .....keep crying ....... In case you haven't been keeping up, Obama's poll rating has dropped to under 50%. The fastest drop on any president since 1953. So, while you may offended, there are many that would find it funny. Uh, and 1 more thing, .....if you haven't noticed, you're the one keeping the issue or comment going. If you wouldn't have needed to get your two cents in there, it would probably not have been discussed further. Obvious you were one of the leftists that voted for him. Good luck with that.

Sorry, I wasn't trying to make political commentary with WMD comment, just comparing the never ending hunt for Tax IDs to something else that was never found, regardless of the reasons.

It is interesting to note that the WARN settlement shows that a W2 will be delivered for 2/3 the amount and a 1099 will be issued for the amount paid to the attorneys on our behalf. According to the story in the star a few days ago, they are ready to cut the first checks between Christmas and New Year's. So the WARN people were able to get all of their ducks in a row and the trust couldn't pull it together with much more notice and certainty that they would have to make a payout.
