Ok, so you do all you can to market, spend money, make the phone ring, and run across clients that would pass all filters to qualify for a loan except one, their credit.
What do you do with those clients?
Tell'm to go and fix their credit and come back?
Give them some advice as to what you think might help?
Move on to the next client?
You should do all of the above except instead of telling them to go get help and come back, show them where to go get help. Build your self a good relationship with a good credit repair company and set up a referrals system with them. This will help you look like the professional that has the solution for your borrower PLUS you are helping them with a good company that will improve their credit.
With credit repair you do need to be careful, there are quite a few bad apples out there. I have a list of 3 very solid credit repair companies that I have known for a while now to be good at what they do. I have sent them LO and Broker referrals and seen good results for my clients. Bottom line is this...the more outlets you have to help your clients the more deals you will get done simply because the less deals you will lose. One of the best things you can do is set up a network of outlets to help your clients and be known in the community for what you do. This is one of the main ways you can brand yourself and get referral business from people other than your clients!
