Going after the borrowers (the victims) in these cases is an old criminal's trick. Victimize the victims. The real criminals (bankers & brokers) will be able to cry foul. "They did it to themselves." This is all a good lawyer (oops. Legal Team) will need to get all the real criminals off the hook.
